Ian Coelho, health and safety coordinator-Palisades electric distribution, will run the New York City Half Marathon this Sunday, March 17, as the PSEG representative helping to raise money in support of Children’s Specialized Hospital. Coelho volunteered for a spot on the team and has trained for a little more than two months, with guidance from Pro-Activity trainers and coaches.

“This was an opportunity to continue my efforts in supporting the hospital as I’ve done for a few years now and improve my overall health at the same time,” said Coelho. “I’m really excited about the race and I’m looking forward to getting to the finish line.”

Children's Specialized Hospital is a charity partner of this year’s 13.1-mile race, which begins in Central Park at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. The hospital is the largest provider of pediatric rehabilitation services in the nation. It serves children affected by traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and dysfunction, complications from premature birth, autism, developmental delays, mental health issues, and other life-changing injuries or illnesses.
