The American Association of Blacks in Energy has launched a new Energy Entrepreneurs Database (EED) on its website. The database profiles AABE member minority-owned businesses in the energy industry. “We are excited about the opportunities the EED will provide to entrepreneurs as well as companies who are interested in supplier diversity”, said Frank Stewart, President and COO of the AABE. The database lists businesses who offer a wide range of goods and services for energy based companies. Any company that is certified as minority-owned can be listed for a nominal fee. This multi-million dollar company operates nationally and includes in its customer profile Ford Motor Company, Duke Energy and Austin Railroad. “Oftentimes, companies have a difficult time identifying minority-owned businesses”, said Dot Harris, Chair of the AABE Energy Entrepreneur Committee. “The EED is an excellent vehicle to match a small business with a larger company.” For more information about the EED, please visit www.aabe.org and sign up today!
