The Energy Assistance team under the Customer Operations organization manages the customer experience, processes, systems, programs, revenue polices, regulatory/legislative strategy, external agency relationship and customer communication for income qualified customers for the company. There are about 400,000 income qualified or low income customers in the company’s service areas. Consumers Energy works with Government and non-profit organizations to offer specialized programs for these customers.
Scope of duties and responsibilities:
- Lead project management, data analytics and strategy optimization for the Energy Assistance team under the Customer Operations organization
- Manage strategic communications around programs, services, processes, performance and strategic plans
- Establish data analytics infrastructure and reporting tools to provide descriptive and predictive analytic results
- Work in and cultivate a collaborative environment across Business teams to ensure strategic risks and issues are managed in an effective manner

Our ideal candidate qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting IT, Engineering or related field; Masters or other advanced degree, ideally in a Business area, is a definite plus
- Knowledge/capabilities typically acquired through 3+ years of job-relevant experience, inclusive of strategic business functions and exhibiting a progressive work history
- Possess a blending of project management, strong business acumen, quantitative financial and analytical abilities to optimize the planning and performance of the team
- Highly developed project management skills, with ability to monitor scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and presentation skills with proven abilities to cohesively defend or justify recommendations
