NJR Retail is seeking a Product Manager to direct the cross-functional activities required to develop, launch, and manage ongoing performance of new products, services, programs, and marketing strategies to meet the needs of the various customer markets. Develop and deliver innovative new products and services at the intersection of consumer, energy and technology including warranty services, distributed generation and IoT connected devices. Deliver the strategy and lead new product development from idea generation and business case creation, concept/product design, market research, testing, trials and operational readiness, to successful commercialization. Launch and manage new products to drive profitable growth. Incubating new ideas and businesses in a large company, driving new product development.
Major Responsibilities:
• Leads development of business case for new product introductions for NJR senior team approvals
• Collaborates with NJR Retail Vice President to establish a new product pipeline
• Develops new product infrastructure, processes and tools, periodically redesigning approach based on lessons learned from product launches
• Manages the P&L for new products
• Develops and directs both short- and long-term marketing plans
• Directs technical research, development and evaluation of new technologies and products
• Handles complex marketing issues or products
• Oversees the performance of new programs, products, and services
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Position Specifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience in energy, energy efficiency, HVAC, solar and/or telecom is preferred
• Experience in financial analysis and project management in developing and delivering subscription services
• Self-starter, creative problem solver and collaborative team player with proactive/entrepreneurial style
