Join a collaborative team of industry professionals in providing SME support to all Consumers Energy operational areas.
In this role you will be responsible for providing ownership and oversight of various standards and work methods as well as tools evaluation, testing, procurement, budgeting and training for all field operational business areas. Additionally, you will provide annual compliance training such as qualifications/ recertification or "Block and OQ" training as well as job site safety evaluations for tools and work procedures.
Scope of responsibilities will include:
- Updating Gas Service, Gas Emergency manuals and communicating changes, while aligning with gas engineering manuals
- Committee member input on Gas Service manual
- Providing discussion and proper use of tools directed in the standards
- Preparing and attending four MPSC meetings (2 inspection, 2 Communication)
- Overseeing non compliance response and other inquires
- Providing SME support for manuals, compliance, EOR, field, RCA's legal and engineering
- Using OQ to qualify employees
- Becoming a Mechanical Inspection Association Of Michigan Advisory Board Member
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- 2-5 years of related gas experience
- Knowledge of and/or experience in utility operations, utility business model and utility trends
- Ability to independently evaluate, select and apply engineering theory
- Ability to solve complex problems, taking new perspectives using existing solutions
The job location is negotiable and may by based throughout eastern Michigan.
