The Director of Academic and Scholarly Technology has the responsibility for leadership and management of the sub-department that provides Wheaton Colleges academic technology which supports Faculty teaching and scholarship, as well as student learning. This includes partnering with the Provost, the faculty development committee and others within the academy to develop leadership content and support of learner-centric pedagogy. Tasks related to this include: the design and installation of technology-enhanced teaching spaces; consulting and development of best practices in course design and delivery in a learner-centric model; design and delivery of a highly effective online program delivery model; identifying and supporting collaborative educational software/systems; proactively identifying and championing solutions that support continued advancement of new teaching methods at the College. This position acts as a faculty and student advocate for Academic and Scholarly Technology resources that support pedagogical best practices Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this position is part of the Academic and Institutional Technology (AIT) department that is responsible for supporting Wheaton College in meeting its strategic, operational, and educational objectives through leadership and support of appropriate technology solutions and services.
