In this dual role position, you will manage/support both the system improvement process as well as engineering customer solutions. On the process side, you will scope and support system improvement programs, including asset relocation, augment supply, enhanced infrastructure replacement, regulatory base, and other complex system modifications. Interfacing directly with larger gas customers ranging range from commercial to municipalities, you will be heavily involved in ensuring the service our customers receive is timely, efficient, and of the utmost quality.
Your primary responsibilities involve:
Evaluation and selection of projects to improve the integrity of our distribution system
Active involvement in providing/engineering customer solutions on projects when needs arise
Communicating system performance and modifications that may affect the customer
Working with MDOT, municipalities, cities, and townships to ensure their schedules and requirements are met
Providing technical expertise to Operations in situations requiring advanced techniques, theories, and engineering concepts
Reviewing and/or revising technical and design criteria to assure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
Qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3–10 years of experience in engineering or equivalent, with an understanding of the gas order fulfillment process
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, objectives and deadlines
Excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy, especially when dealing with customers and other outside contacts such as politicians, government employees, regulators, etc.
Highly motivated, dependable, reliable, a self-starter, strong team player, and results oriented
