Position Overview
The Manager, Regulatory Affairs will be the primary interface with RTO/ISOs, state public utility service commissions and transmission service providers for Invenergy’s generation developments. This individual will also be responsible for the interpretation and monitoring of the different market rules as they apply to the construction, interconnection, and operation of generation projects.
Responsibilities
Interpret market rules as they apply to the construction, interconnection, and operation of generation projects.
Provide assistance to asset managers and project developers in creating and implementing bidding and risk management strategies.
Attend relevant state utility public service commission and RTO/ISO meetings.
Advocate on behalf of generation projects and policy initiatives.
Participate in various industry groups dealing with interconnection and market issues.
Requirements
Preferably a BS in Business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering or commensurate job experience.
Knowledge of ERCOT and/or SPP markets highly preferred.
Knowledge of FERC and NERC standards related to transmission and interconnections, including Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT).
Knowledge of midcontinent state utility public service commissions.
Knowledge of electricity market and auction rules (day ahead, real time, capacity, ancillary services, etc.)
