The senior evaluator in Plant Operations at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) leads monitoring, evaluation and assistance activities for nuclear power stations. The person will interact with utility personnel, INPO/WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators) management, and industry professional groups. The preferred candidate would have boiling water reactor experience and at least two years experience as an operations shift manager.
Essential Functions
Performs monitoring, evaluations, and assistance activities to nuclear power stations and utilities.
Leads and directs analysis activities, reviews documents and reports that describe area performance, areas for improvement, strengths and recommendations and communicates results to station and utility leaders.
Organize and direct station observation activities, interviews, and the briefing of station and utility leaders.
Interacts with all levels of INPO management and utility personnel.
Participates and leads industry professional groups, seminars and other related activities.
Coaches and mentors internal and external peers.
Act as lead Operations evaluator on plant evaluations, WANO peer reviews, and assistance visits as described in the Evaluation Manual
Identify and analyze problems with plant operations
Assess plant performance in the operator fundamentals and operational focus areas
Effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of the utility personnel, including operations management
Lead the facilitation of plant operations working meetings
Lead in evaluation, assistance and managing of plant operations initiatives
