The firm is seeking a mid-level associate (3-6 years of experience) with demonstrated FERC regulatory experience for our Electricity practice group. The ideal candidate has aptitude for ratemaking and other regulatory work and is looking for a professional growth opportunity. Candidates must be capable of working independently, as well as collaborating effectively with other professionals. This position will be based in the Washington, DC office.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Knowledge of FERC cost-of-service ratemaking policies and practices
Solid foundational knowledge of Federal Power Act and other federal energy laws
Experience with rate cases before FERC
Knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariff and wholesale electricity markets
Strong analytical research and writing skills
Excellent communication skills
Any experience with natural gas rate matters should be noted in submissions of interest.
