Dear Members and Guests: On behalf of the Officers and Members of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (SCCAABE), I welcome you to our website. SCCAABE is headquartered in Columbia, SC. The chapter presently has 89 members with the majority of our members employed by the SCANA Corporation, parent company of South Carolina Pipeline Corp., South Carolina Power, and South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G). Other member companies include Claflin University, Clemson University, Duke Energy, PrimeSouth and Santee Cooper EMC. The membership of this chapter includes representatives from all areas of the company – nuclear, electric, gas, customer service, generation – and professions – engineering, accounting, legal, information technology, management, procurement, rates, human resources, etc. As we continue to develop this website, you will learn more about the SCCAABE, including our mission, history, committees, and activities.
