NJR is seeking an Accounting Manager responsible for all aspects of closing and analyzing financial statements for selected business units. Actively work to improve the process flow of tasks effecting this position. Comply with all internal control measures, and assist and support in the aspects of all regulatory filings.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of business unit financial reporting
• Oversee the review calendar and cycle revenue reports
• Work with FP&A on the analysis of customers and sales revenues and margin by rate class
• Supervise supporting personnel
• Analyze balance sheet accounts
• Collaborate with regulatory and senior leadership to analyze regulatory reporting requirements
• Assist in gathering data for all regulatory filings
• Assist with developing responses received from regulatory filings in progress
• Miscellaneous reporting and other duties as assigned
Position Specifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 7-10 years of related accounting experience
• Proficient in spreadsheets and modeling concepts
• Knowledge of JDE, CIS systems a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
