NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Sr. Retail Business Analyst to use analytics to develop insights and strategy that will drive improvements, enable smart decision making and deliver revenue growth for our retail business. Utilize data mining techniques and analyze trends to improve sales and maximize profitability.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provides timely preparation, interpretation and analysis of data analytics and make recommendations to capture opportunities
• Performs in-depth analysis of trends to diagnose and respond to the changing competitive landscape
• Understand our customers’ end-to-end journeys to identify pain points and inefficiencies to develop and evaluate improved tools and technologies
• Help inform sales and marketing forecasts and maximize return on marketing spend
• Recommend improvements to existing business analysis and interpretation of data by business users
• Provide statistical and analytical support by creating institutional and ad-hoc reports
• Collaborate closely with other Information Technology functional groups to ensure alignment of data management
• Measure the costs to operate the business as well acquire and retain customers
• Partner with our sales team to develop reporting and analysis that drives a successful retail business.
Position Specifications:
• Bachelors degree in business administration, finance or related degree
• 5+ years of experience as an analyst or data scientist
• Strong background in computer science, mathematics and/or statistics
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and internet use; JD Edwards experience a plus
