CFC has a need for a Sr. Financial and Industry Consultant in the BID - Financial Products & Analysis group. In this position you will provide services to electric cooperative members, affiliated organizations and CFC staff to serve, innovate, design and present financial/statistical decision making models.
As a Sr. Financial and Industry Consultant, you will:
• Provides on-site consultancy on financial and industry matters to members, assisting with their use of CFC member facing models, analyzes various business opportunities and provides other solutions as requested.
• Plays a lead role in the innovation, development and deployment of new and existing financial, statistical and economic models.
•Creates and delivers professional instruction using custom training courses on current financial models and programs to members and CFC staff for use in affiliated organizations educational programs.
• Effectively interacts with and manages day-to-day internal and external client relationships at all levels.
• Conducts & supports workshops at statewide and/or national CFC sponsored conferences.
• Provides member engagement in an unstructured environment, while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by the Financial Analysis Products and Services team.
• Creates and monitors content published on Cooperative.com.
To be successful, you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or equivalent field.
• MBA, CPA or equivalent field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in the electric utility industry or providing financial/accounting consultative services, preferably to the electric utility industry.
• Experience innovating and managing model development.
• Advanced financial and cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, research and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the Electric Utility & Cooperative business model preferred.
• Significant verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced skills in developing, implementing financial and/or statistical models, best practices, policies and procedures.
• Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel and VBA programming skills for software development.
• Experience with MS Business Intelligence Suite and Geo Mapping preferred.
• Advanced presentation skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate to a full range of management levels.
• Proven customer service orientation.
