Pecan Street Inc. seeks a Project Manager to be part of its award-winning team accelerating innovations for climate and conservation solutions. The selected candidate will be part of a passionate, dynamic team that works on a range of exciting programs in partnership with public and private entities. This role will work remote during the course of the pandemic.

About Pecan Street Inc.

Climate change is the world’s single greatest challenge. And securing a clean water supply for a growing population isn’t far behind. Solving both challenges will grow the economy, improve people’s lives, and protect our precious planet. The solutions to these challenges will demand a mixture of new technologies and policies. But it first requires a detailed understanding of water and energy use behavior.

Unlike any other organization, Pecan Street’s research addresses technology, behavior, and how the two interact. We develop unique datasets to help our team and collaborators better understand barriers to solving climate and water management challenges, and we provide proving grounds to accelerate the development and adoption of solutions.

We are the only organization that combines expertise in the “Internet of Things,” high-velocity data acquisition, big data analytics, and lean product development to drive disruptive innovation for climate and conservation solutions.

Our real-world testbed of volunteer research participants is the first of its kind on the planet and has become an international model for how to develop and conduct energy and resource research and technology development. Our commercialization lab is a world-class proving ground producing leapfrog solutions for the transition to clean energy. And our database, the largest source of disaggregated customer energy data, is used by university researchers and industry-leading companies around the world.

Pecan Street’s lab is a green-built facility producing leapfrog solutions for clean energy and water management where companies of all sizes can develop, test and validate a wide range of products and services. The lab also houses Pecan Street’s secure data center, which powers Dataport – our interactive online portal that provides access to our data, which is the world’s largest research database for residential energy and water use. Dataport also includes tools to help researchers understand, visualize, and analyze these data resources.
