Analyst - Member Services

Location: Columbia, SC

 We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Analyst in the Member Services Department.

This position reports to the Rates Manager and supports Member Cooperatives through the development and coordination of Economic Development rate quotes and contracts and other pricing analytics as required. Works with the Member Services team to provide a high level of satisfaction to Member Cooperatives by leading and coordinating various requests and projects. Support departmental goals for budget forecasting and tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 1.      Work with management and other stakeholders to support Member Cooperative economic development activities related to rate offerings and other rate analysis adhering to established procedures and Central Rate Schedules.

2.   2.   Support efforts to develop and maintain internal processes related to economic development to ensure Member requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

3.  3.    Work with Billing and other stakeholders to ensure to ensure industrial service agreements are administered and tracked. This includes maintaining contract management procedures to retain all service agreements in accordance with company and departmental policies.

4.   4.  Maintains economic, demographic, weather and other Cooperative data necessary for the preparation of load analyses and financial forecasts.

5.  5. Coordinate or provide responses to Member cooperative data requests, or other stakeholder requests as required

6.  6.  Lead, coordinate, or support various projects as required of the Member Services organization.  Projects include but are not limited to:

a.      Competitive rate analysis reports

b.      RUS reporting requirements

c.       EIA reporting requirements

7.  7.    Assists in preparation of Central Board, Committee, and Subcommittee reports and presentations.

8.  8.    Provides administrative support as may be needed and performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

9.     9.   Supports Member Services functions by;

a.      Staying informed of Member issues

b.      Communicating issues to Management

c.       Budget Development and Tracking

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:                 

   Experience in project management and working with teams with diverse backgrounds and positions.

·         High level understanding of utility rates, economic development, and other Cooperative utility services and programs.

·         Ability to analyze large volumes of data using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Access.

·         Strong written and oral communications skills.

·         Detail oriented.                                                                 

Requirements:

          Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or other related field.

·         At least 3 years of experience working in the utility industry.
