As a Customer Management Advisor, you will help MISO provide value-added support and services to its members/market participants within our South region. You will serve as a liaison between external and internal customers by anticipating, identifying, addressing, resolving and communicating policy, strategic, technical and administrative issues.  Self-starter, organized, commitment to providing excellent customer experience, and knowledge of electric utilities and markets is a must. By joining our team, you will be able to expand your breath of knowledge in providing energy to a vast number of stakeholders as well as immerse yourself in energy markets, products and the planning of transmission for the bulk electric system. In one year as a Customer Management Advisor, you will know you were successful if you:

·         identify, plan and execute initiatives that will facilitate stronger relations between MISO and its members and customers.

·         manage complex, cross-functional issues; including ownership for researching the issues, involving the right subject matter experts and providing a comprehensive summary of recommendations and solutions for assigned issues through to completion.

·         develop an understanding and proficiency with the technical details of MISO’s markets, tariffs, and operations with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory information into common terms and solutions.

·         establish long-term, viable customer relationships on behalf of MISO and be the primary conduit to the senior-level relationships (e.g. Vice Presidents, CFO, COO)

·         demonstrate MISO’s core values and consistently work to add value through process improvement.

 

What we are looking for:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Political Science or related field required, Master’s degree or MBA preferred

·         A minimum of ten years of experience managing projects or project teams

·         Transmission asset management, generation portfolio management, financial settlement or energy industry experience

·         Previous energy industry experience

·         Potential to travel up to 50% per month
