Program Manager

 ACORE seeks a Program Manager to support the management of ACORE programs and develop work products and analysis related to U.S. renewable energy markets, finance and investment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the renewable energy sector, be a strong writer and analyst, and be able to support multiple ongoing projects that engage diverse stakeholders.

Key Job Duties 

·        Develop high-quality written materials, including reports, analyses, presentations, and blogs in coordination with both internal and external experts

·        Assist with organizing programs for signature events, member meetings and webinars, including agenda development, speaker selection and coordination, and other support

·        Stay abreast of renewable energy markets, project finance, and investment trends, and act as a point of contact for related internal and external inquiries

·        Support day-to-day program/project implementation: note and track follow-up items, manage deliverables, flag issues, and coordinate with internal staff, members, and external partners as appropriate

·        Help manage member engagement for the Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance (PREF), an executive program focused on capital formation and investment in the renewable sector

·        Work with the Vice President for Programs to develop program work plans, and introduce creative ideas and approaches for consideration

·        Assist in the identification of prospective partners, members, and sponsors that support programmatic activities

·        Support other tasks as assigned

 

 Required Skills/Knowledge

·        Excellent verbal, research and writing skills, and the ability to transfer findings into effective written reports and briefs

·        Solid understanding of U.S. renewable energy markets (particularly solar, wind and energy storage), including knowledge of sector investment and project finance; renewable energy buyers and offtake contracts; and the impact of public policy and market design on sector growth

·        Fluency and comfort with applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·        Highly organized and a strong attention to detail

·        Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, partners, and other companies

·        Collaborative and collegial work style

 

Educational/Work Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree required, preferably related to energy, finance, business administration, or public policy

·        A minimum of 4 years of work experience as a program associate, manager and/or research analyst, preferably in the energy sector
