  Overview

The Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies, has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager, Customer Solutions.

Responsibilities

The Manager will provide strategic and tactical support for the advancement of varied customer solutions, including electric transportation, designed to improve customer satisfaction and increase electric company revenue growth potential. Will assist EEI member companies in developing new customer solutions and scale successful approaches to increase adoption. Will provide support for positive policy outcomes by identifying legislative and regulatory options to promote awareness, visibility and viability of a variety of customer solutions, including electric transportation and smart communities. Will establish EEI as a leader among stakeholders in advocating for greater electric company engagement in advancing the deployment of new customer solutions.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have:

  • College degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, law, or market-related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with electric companies and/or relevant stakeholder groups, including a strong knowledge of electric transportation, state regulatory policy and energy issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with capability to identify and address customer expectations in a changing energy environment.
  • Innovative in developing solutions and proposals to address member needs.
  • Ability to communicate to a broad range of stakeholders, addressing their specific interests in their own language, and move them to positive action.
  • Ability to scan the landscape for chances and evolving opportunities.
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional project and process management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex issues in preparing industry papers, briefs, and other documents.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
