Ensure complete documentation is generated for all functions under this departments responsibility and that the records are archived in a manner in which they can be produced in the future as appropriate based on the retention requirements of the documents.
Manage the leakage survey program, curb valve inspection program, residential regulator performance control program, critical and priority valve inspection program, and atmospheric corrosion inspection program.
Ensure all programs satisfy related federal and state pipeline safety regulations and company policies.
Establish and maintain company procedures.
Benchmark with other utilities and industry organizations and reference Gas Pipeline Technical Committee (GPTC) guidance material to ensure LG&E policies and procedures are appropriate and do not expose the company to undue liabilities.
Develop functional requirements and specifications for new information technology systems and enhancements to existing systems.
Serve as the business lead in the development of the system and migration of historic data.
Personally responsible for ensuring the systems have been adequately tested. Oversee training of personnel on the system.
Determine existing processes, programs and functions with greatest potential for error and greatest impact resulting from errors.
Consider safety, regulatory, financial and operational ramifications.
Design, implement, monitor and document quality assurance initiatives to address these issues.
Archive correspondence with regulatory agencies associated with both gas distribution and transmission facilities in the agency communication library.
Oversee records review, records quality assurance, and data quality assurance initiatives as necessary associated with the companys gas distribution systems.
