With a particular emphasis on internal electric infrastructure and large customer projects, the Electric Project Management (EPC) Project Manager will plan and manage medium-to-large sized projects of moderate-to-high complexity, ensuring project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed on scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Scope of primary duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project plans that provide timely deliverables in order to achieve project objectives
- Identify initial risks, issues, and constraints impacting project execution
- Work collaboratively with other functional areas in the development of project tasks and deliverables ensuring the successful execution of projects
- Manage multiple projects at various stages of development concurrently
- Facilitate the flow of work during a project to ensure that it conforms to the project plan covering forecasting, scoping, planning, scheduling, execution and closeout
- Assume project communication lead role throughout the life cycle of the project
- Identify and recommend new processes, techniques, and standards that drive performance and process management
- Develop communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities
Our ideal candidate qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/business; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred (required within 3 years of starting this position)
- 5 or more years of engineering/business experience with demonstrated capability to lead medium to large scale projects, simultaneously with multiple small scale projects
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients
- Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting good judgment and a realistic understanding of the issues
- Proven ability to work across departments collaboratively to resolve issues, drive projects to closure, achieve desired results/goals, and/or implement change as needed
