Help us oversee asset management of the natural gas compression fleet, underground storage fields and processing systems for Consumers Energy's Energy Resources Department!
Working within our Compression and Storage Engineering department, you will be responsible for the development, engineering, and implementation of projects to increase safety, improve system performance, and equipment reliability in order to meet Customer demands. Your primary goal: continually strive for operating excellence and model human performance improvement techniques in order to achieve safe, reliable and predictable storage field operations.
The East Storage Field Engineer will be located on the eastern side of the state, preferably at St. Clair or Ray Compressor Station. Position is responsible for the reliability of the equipment and systems at the storage fields located in St. Clair, Ray, and Northville, Michigan.
The West Storage Field Engineer will be located on the western side of the state, preferably at Marion Production Office (Marion, MI) or the Overisel Storage Field (Hamilton, MI). Position is responsible for the reliability of the equipment and systems at the storage fields located in Marion and Overisel, MI.
Positions require 80% field / 20% office work and will require travel to the storage fields within their region.
Primary duties/responsibilities include:

Providing overall responsibility for developing and maintaining a strategic plan to improve reliability of the sites equipment and systems

Providing direct leadership, development and supervisory support to the Storage Field Management

Providing technical guidance for troubleshooting equipment and system operational, design and maintenance deficiencies
