In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for achieving the goals of the Energy Delivery Project Management organization as it relates to internal electric infrastructure and large customer projects. This will include planning and managing medium-to-large sized projects of moderate-to high complexity, and ensuring project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed on scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Scope of duties includes:
Developing and maintaining project plans that provide timely deliverables in order to achieve project objectives
Identifying initial risks, issues, and constraints impacting project execution
Working collaboratively with other functional areas in the development of project tasks and deliverables, ensuring the successful execution of projects
Managing multiple projects at various stages of development concurrently
Assuming project communication lead role throughout the life cycle of the project
Performing presentations for the Consumers Energy leadership team
Our successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/business; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Required within 3 years of starting this position)
5 or more years of engineering/business experience with demonstrated capability to lead medium to large scale projects, simultaneously with multiple small scale projects
Knowing the "business of project management" and have good project management leadership skills
Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting good judgment and a realistic understanding of the issues
Proven ability to work across departments collaboratively to resolve issues, drive projects to closure, achieve desired results/goals, and/or implement change as needed
