Take your civil engineering level to the next step by becoming a technical resource within our Engineering Services Department (ESD)!
In this role, you will apply an intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in the areas of geotechnical field exploratory drilling, laboratory testing, geotextile materials, geotechnical analyses and design, slope stability analyses, and deep and shallow foundation design.
Scope of responsibilities will include:
- Preparing proposals and technical specifications
- Coordinating with project managers and other ESD personnel, plant engineers, outage managers, A/Es, contractors and vendor representatives
- Applying resourcefulness and initiative in carrying out assignments while working independently
Job Requirements
Our successful candidate will possess:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering preferred; an advanced engineering degree and/or professional registration in the State of Michigan

3–10 years of experience, expertise in structural steel design, reinforced concrete design and geotechnical engineering preferred

Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Proficient computer skills
-
Ability to tolerate an industrial environment and walk a rough construction grade as required
Position location is open and may be based in West Olive, Essexville, or Jackson, MI.
