We’re ElectriCities, the management services company working on behalf of North Carolina’s public power communities. We are looking for a dynamic, team player to join our team as a Renewable Energy Portfolio Manager in our Raleigh, NC location.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating the renewable energy program for our two Municipal Power Agencies.
Primary responsibilities of the Renewable Energy Portfolio Manager include, but are not limited to:
· Develop and execute the Renewable Portfolio Standard (REPS) compliance strategy for both Power Agencies
· Administration of the contracting process related to REC acquisition from negotiations and origination to development and execution
· Ensuring compliance with internal risk management policies
· Publishing the REPS Compliance Reports and Plans and responding to miscellaneous data requests
· Preparing filings on REPS issues for the NCUC
· Fostering and maintaining relationships with North Carolina Utilities Commission Staff (NCUC), Public Staff, suppliers, regulators, and other utilities
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
· B.S. Degree in engineering, environmental science, or business administration
· A minimum of one year in a regulatory or utility environment
· Prior experience with and/or participation in renewable energy markets is preferred
· Excellent communications, negotiations, and analytical skills
· Ability to work independently with general instructions and minimum supervision
· Demonstrated ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
