Help us with the successful planning and scheduling of plant maintenance activities at our Karn/Weadock Complex in Essexville, MI!
In this fast paced role, you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant maintenance activities for electrical and mechanical resources. You will work closely with the Long Term Scheduler, Maintenance, and other site resources to ensure timely planning and scheduling of the T-8 schedule (scheduling work a minimum of eight weeks in the future).
Scope of responsibilities will include:
- Planning work orders by estimating man hour and cost requirements (identifying, ordering and tracking materials/parts/equipment requirements of planned work)
- Determining schedule sequence and resource requirements to complete planned work
- Facilitating weekly scheduling meetings, and producing schedules using primavera
- Performing weekly gap analysis (metrics) to measure work management plant performance
- Serving on the Site Weekend on-call duty rotation (which includes supervising union employees)
- Working extended or unusual hours for unplanned events as needed
Our ideal candidate qualifications include:
- High school degree/GED required; advanced degree preferred
- 3-5 years industrial planning and scheduling experience or equivalent which includes a strong mechanical, electrical and/or I&C background; power plant experience preferred
- Excellent people and communication skills and be able to work with all levels of staff
- Team oriented, creative thinking, self-motivated and organized
- Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Scheduling experience using SAP and/or Primavera is preferred
