Join us as a key member of the Standards and Materials section of our Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Division.
In this role, you will provide integral support to several business-specific processes of the I&C Division, which is responsible for all electric system I&C engineering, and design and standards activities for both the high- and low-voltage distribution systems of Consumers Energy. The work may include routine tasks as well as those requiring substantial analysis and investigation, to support Capital and O&M projects in both electric substations and high voltage lines. Some of these projects will support NERC reliability efforts, Smart-Grid and Grid Modernization, and increased system reliability spends.
Scope of responsibilities will involve:
- Utilizing computer-application-based processes and resulting documentation
- Supporting Sarbanes Oxley requirements, resulting in frequent use of SAP
- Supporting I&C reporting actions relative to the HVD Work Order Closeout team
- Providing specific response to work order detailed-scope, material and information requests
- Assisting in the process of I&C HVDE scope document preparation, distribution and comment-resolution
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable professional discipline such as process management, business support, operations management, business administration, business management, logistics, etc; prior experience in these areas will be considered a strong plus
- Highly self-motivated with ability to successfully work alone and in a team environment with other employees of varying technical skills and grade level
- MS Excel, MS Access and SAP experience are a big plus
