Are you ready to take the lead and supervise day-to-day operations of the transformer and electric equipment repair center?


In this role, you will lead a diverse group of 14 Operating, Maintenance and Construction (OM&C) staff and non-exempt employees who have responsibilities for safely testing, inspecting and servicing electric transmission and substation equipment. You will also assist the repair center manager with operational projects, serve as a change agent and use skill and tact in relating to union employees.


Scope of responsibilities will include:

  • Leading repair center employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a stand-alone business within the company
  • Overseeing the storage and processing of on-demand needs of substation construction and maintenance departments including substation transformers, distribution transformers and related equipment
  • Maintaining and scheduling the movement of the Company's mobile substations and processing equipment
  • Monitoring and safely leading the EERC employees into an increasingly capital focused business and serve as an important part of the success of the substation departments


Qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred; ability to acquire Switching and Tagging certification; Project Management experience or certification
  • Ability to read and understand construction prints; substation background a plus
  • Must be a self starter with ability to coordinate the activities of internal/external work groups effectively and efficiently on organizational and company wide projects and initiatives, with minimal guidance
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem solving and safety skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; SAP knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work extended hours as required and during storm or emergency restoration
  • A valid driver's license
