Take your career to the next level with this excellent opportunity to supervise day-to-day operations of three 100+ megawatt fossil fuel power plants!
Accountable for the safe operations of our JR Whiting Generating Plant in Erie, MI, you will supervise a union workforce in all aspects of boiler and turbine generator operations, training, coaching and development of workers.
Scope of responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring strict adherence to all safety, lockout/tagout, regulatory/environment, NERC and company policy and procedures
- Developing good working relationships with team and other plant support departments
- Working back-shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
Qualifications for this position include:
- 5-10 years of experience in the planning, supervision, or execution of operations activities in and around generation plants is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, proficient computer ability and a desire to work in a team environment
- Strong coaching/counselling and interpersonal skills
- Working nights, weekends, and holidays is expected
