Are you interested in facilities engineering and design? Help us mange the design engineering functions of the Company’s electrical system assets.

As a member of the Business Services Facilities Engineering and Design Team you will work with in-house Architects and Engineers to design technical solutions to manage the corporation's electrical system assets. If you are a self-starter, are process oriented and enjoy solving problems in a team environment, this may be your ideal career opportunity!


Primary duties generally include:

  • Analysis and design of commercial building electrical systems (30%)
  • Drawing and specification preparation and reviews (20%)
  • Consulting, troubleshooting and directing repair of existing equipment (10%)
  • Electrical system inspections and assessments (10%)
  • Life cycle cost evaluations and new product evaluations (5%)
  • Budgeting and scheduling activities (5%)
  • Preparation and review of preventative maintenance procedures (2%)
  • Other duties as related to business needs

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Michigan Professional Engineer license and LEED Accredited Professional are highly desirable
  • 3 years of relevant engineering experience; experience in light industrial, commercial building systems and the National Electric Code are preferred
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Computer savvy is a must with proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD highly desired
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% to facilities located throughout Michigan

This position reports to the Jackson, MI headquarters office, and preference will be given to a candidate who can work at this location. However we are willing to offer flexibility to work from another Service Center located within Michigan.
