In this role, you will be responsible for multiple areas in our electrical power generation operations at a 1450 MW three unit fossil site. Depending on your level of expertise, areas of responsibilities may include large rotating motors and generators, medium and low voltage switchgear and transformers, and emergency power systems.

 

Typical duties and responsibilities will involve:

  • Evaluating and monitoring performance of assigned systems and components
  • Providing oversight and direction for inspections, overhauls, and upgrades of assigned systems
  • Providing leadership across plant disciplines and departments for assigned systems in areas of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, parts availability and budget controls
  • Providing active field support to Maintenance and Operations personnel to optimize assigned systems
 

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
  • 2-10 years of power plant field experience; Navy Nuclear Program experience will be considered
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as IEEE, NEMA, EPRI, NEC
  • Competency in reviewing and modifying wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Ability to prepare and present technical reports to management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Willingness to work different schedules and overtime to support plant operations as needed

 

Position will be filled at the highest level based on education, skills and experience.
