With over $2 billion in capital projects in the works, we are seeking a results oriented professional to guide each project in the areas of safety, quality, schedule, budget and leadership/ethics/teamwork, with safety as our number one priority. Your primary function: Coordinating and directing all planning and scheduling activities associated with the St. Clair Compressor Station project through application of diversified controls, systems, principles and practices.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and scheduling activities, including integration of schedules from a variety of internal and external organizations into a master network
- Providing technical support to the project by Interfacing/maintaining liaison with project management, stakeholders, and contractors on all planning and scheduling related items and functions including reporting requirements, progress status, risk, emergent work, etc.
- Representing the company and/or project in meetings with senior management, plant management, department management, Architect/Engineers (A/E), Owner’s Engineer, original equipment suppliers (OEM) and the Engineer
- Procuring Construction Management (EpCM) firms as well as other contractors as required
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management Business, or equivalent combination of training and related experience; Project Scheduling Professional certification is preferred, or must obtain within 3 years of hire
- 4+ years of applied planning and schedule engineering or equivalent experience, experience in heavy industrial construction, and a basic understanding of OSHA/MIOSHA, corporate and industry safety standards
- Thorough knowledge of diversified project controls systems, principles and practices, critical path methodologies, project cost structures, cost estimating, forecasting tools and economic evaluation of alternatives, with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of computer scheduling applications such as Primavera P6™ and Microsoft Project™; working knowledge of SAP, Oracle/Primavera Analytics™, and Unifier™ is desired
