We have an excellent entry level opportunity available in design engineering for the Electric Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) system!
This role deals primarily with the planned project work submitted and approved by the Customer and Service Infrastructure (C&SI) department and involves acting as a Company representative to customers for the design stage of reliability, relocation, and capacity projects as part of the electric primary distribution facilities.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Driving to and from field sites throughout the year, including remote areas that are difficult to access
- Negotiating with customers and obtaining easements, working with government entities for permits
- Designing in a CAD system, tracking of projects in spreadsheets or databases, project/order creation and ordering materials in SAP
- Communicating work to internal departments such as C&SI, forestry, scheduling, construction, etc.
- Creating billing, and identifying joint use attachments
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have a valid driver's license
