Your next challenge: Help us improve the integrity of our distribution system, ensuring the service our customers receive is timely, efficient, and of the utmost quality.
The Gas System Engineer is responsible for both managing and supporting the system improvement process and programs, as well as engineering customer solutions, for asset relocation, augment supply, enhanced infrastructure replacement, regulatory base, and other complex system modifications.
Your typical duties:
- Administers the input of information to the Decision Analysis Project Planning Database Works with MDOT, municipalities, cities, and townships to ensure their schedules and requirements are met
- Provides technical expertise to Operations in situations requiring the use of advanced techniques, theories, and engineering concepts
- Serves as a contact for the MPSC safety engineers, and responds to MPSC inquires related to gas records/incidents
- Reviews and/or revises technical and design criteria to assure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, results oriented team player and possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3–10 years of experience in engineering or equivalent, with a good understanding of the gas order fulfillment process
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, objectives and deadlines
- Strong communication and judgement skills
This position has responsibility for the Southern Region which encompasses the gas distribution work in the Lansing, Jackson, Owosso, Greenville and Adrian, MI headquarters.
