Put your technical expertise to excellent use as a subject matter expert for our substations, hydro plants and wind farms throughout the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
In acting as a critical expert for technical matters, youll utilize advanced technical writing skills in maintaining our Substation Procedure Manual. Additionally, youll create accurate substation instructions, including switching order templates for the correct and safe operation of substation equipment during scheduled and unscheduled events.
Among your typical duties you will:
- Undertake Black Light and Test Operating instructions
- Travel throughout your service area, acting as SME to facilities as needed
- Direct teams of subject matter experts, as required
- Develop and use presentation and teaching tools
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in a relevant technical field
- 2 years of relevant experience with knowledge of electric and mechanical drawings for low voltage distribution, high voltage distribution and substations
- Excellent communication and writing skills as a high level of technical writing is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, Adobe
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft Visio, Publisher (preferred)
- Ability to travel throughout the state of Michigan, as needed
