Advance your career in this key leadership position and make a significant contribution to the Company's electric customer value, satisfaction and reliability goals!
Your primary goal: leading the professional workforce responsible for the electric High Voltage Distribution (HVD) and Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) system capacity and reliability planning for the western half of the Company's electric service territory. This will involve performing electric system reliability analysis and turning this analysis into an investment work plan which maximizes the effectiveness of the investments to drive customer value and satisfaction.
Additional duties and tasks include:
- Overseeing the Field Technical Services and Models & Dynamics departments
- Capital and O&M budget and work planning for electric programs
- Providing multiple electric service options and solution sets including Smart Energy applications
- Customer complaint and issue resolution, storm restoration support, and damage assessment
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Electrical Engineering degree and PE license preferred
- At least 15 years engineering and / or operations experience (preferably in electric operations)
- A broad knowledge of many different aspects of electric distribution activities including design standards, rates, ROW, customer interactions, load forecasting, legal, accounting and community service
- Ability to develop a vision and successfully utilize internal and external resources to achieve objectives and goals is critical
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem solving abilities
- Proficient computer skills
This position is preferably located in Jackson, Michigan, although a location within the responsibility area of Western Michigan may be considered.
