The Role
Voltus is looking for a Product Manager to help us “simplify the complex” by building product that lets users self-serve on tasks that are normally complicated. In this role you will be responsible for driving innovation, collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders to understand and document key business requirements, establishing roadmaps, and prioritizing software development.
You are an enthusiastic right-brain communicator, with extremely strong left brain technical capability. You love sketching out detailed user stories, user personas, and technical specs. You gobble up user research and product analytics, pushing us to become even more data-driven than we already are. You are eager to work with some of the smartest software engineers out there, and learn from and collaborate with them and other bright, gritty, and good colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the role of demand response and distributed energy resources in energy markets, including following trends in the industry to assess their value or threat
Contribute to the entire product development process, from scoping to detailed documentation to wireframe design to making sure the product gets out the door on time
Work cross-functionally to build consensus on product scope. Define and refine business requirements with key internal and external stakeholders
Write technical scope of work and documentation, working collaboratively with engineering
Own the creative process of gathering, generating, and curating new ideas and user feedback, ultimately turning them into product priorities
Articulate and quantify the business value of any new product or feature
Provide data-driven prioritization of stakeholder needs, explained in simple and transparent terms
Help develop and grow our burgeoning product development and management processes
Qualifications
Demonstrated history of developing and launching B2B SaaS products
Strong understanding of technical concepts and software technologies
Ability to step into various user personas and be their advocate
Self-initiated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment, and manage several products simultaneously
Experience working in agile, team environment
Bonus: experience working in the energy technology industry
