Energy Entrepreneurs Committee

This committee develops programs and plans which foster a mutually-beneficial relationship between AABE and energy entrepreneurs. It sponsors activities which enable entrepreneurs to make financial and in-kind contributions to AABE's operations, and conversely, helps to position AABE to use its resources and alliances to seek out and promote opportunities for minority energy entrepreneurs.

In September 2012,  the Energy Entrepreneurs Committee identified three (3) areas where it would concentrate its efforts over the coming year.  Those areas are as follows:

  • Building member capacity through a series of webinars
  • Working with local chapters to establish the AABE as a strategic supplier diversity partner
  • Planning a celebration around the committe's 5th anniversary during the 2013 conference
