South Carolina Chapter Home

On behalf of the American Association of Blacks in Energy South Carolina Chapter (SCCAABE), I would like to welcome you to our organization. SCCAABE just celebrated 33 years and has an awesome record of service. Our chapter’s theme this year is value. I define value as the total dedication and sacrifice of one’s time, energy, resources, and money. Value is not free, it requires an equal or greater amount to hold its worth. Value costs something, it cannot be exchanged without sacrifice.

I have been part of this organization for almost four years. I appreciate the value of AABE advocating to ensure African Americans and other minorities have a voice in various energy policies, regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues. At a local level, I am inspired by the hearts of members to perform fundraising events that support the JKC Memorial Scholarship, Professional Development Seminar, and many other programs. We have an incredible chapter of 118 members strong and I am honored and privileged to lead such distinguished kind-hearted people.

The value of any product or service is determined by the customer. For our local value proposition to take flight, I challenge and implore each of you to assess and evaluate the value of AABE. I look forward to serving, and thank you in advance for your support.
