About Us

Welcome to the AABE® North Carolina Chapter Website

The North Carolina Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE®) is one of eight chapters within the Southeast Region. Our member companies include: Duke Energy, ABB, Quanta Technology, GE Energy, Greenville Utilities, Piedmont Natural Gas, PSNC Energy, Raleigh Area Development Authority, Siemens, and one student chapter from NC A&T State University.

Minority professionals in energy and energy related disciplines (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewables, government, technology, energy services and water) are welcome to join. This broadens our membership and increases the knowledge base about the industry within the chapter. We welcome all college students studying in energy-related fields to participate in AABE.

Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn more about the energy industry through education, mentoring, community service and business networking.

Please take the opportunity to view information about our mission, executive officers, committees, scholarships and upcoming events.
