Mississippi Chapter
Welcome to the AABE Mississippi Chapter Website Dear Members and Guests: The Mississippi Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is one of nine chapters in the Southwest region of the organization. Member companies include (but are not limited to): Atmos Energy, Entergy-Mississippi, Mississippi Development Authority, and the State Government of Mississippi. Minority professionals in all energy and energy-related disciplines (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewables, government, technology, energy services and water) are welcome to join and give our membership a broader knowledge about the industry. College students at accredited institutions studying energy-related fields are also encouraged to participate in AABE. Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn more about the energy industry through education, mentoring, community service and business networking. Our chapter is proud to have co-hosted the 31st Annual AABE National Conference with the other Southwest Region Chapters in Houston, Texas during the month of April 2008. As you navigate through our website, please view our mission, senior officers, committees, activities and programs. I look forward to your participation in AABE. Sincerely, Lawrence Johnson Lawrence Johnson President Mississippi Chapter American Association of Blacks in Energy
