The Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy is one of eleven chapters in the Southeast Region of the organization. Our membership includes representatives from the Gulf Coast Region (Coastal Mississippi, Southern Alabama and the panhandle of Florida). Member companies currently include: Alabama Power, Chevron, Hill Consulting, Gulf Power, Mississippi Power and the Southern Company.
Any employee who works in the energy profession at an energy or energy-related business and or owner of an energy related business (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewable, government, technology, energy services and water) is welcome to join and give our membership a broader knowledge about the industry. In addition, educators in energy related disciplines and college students at accredited institutions studying energy-related fields are also encouraged to participate in AABE.
Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to grown in their knowledge in regards to the energy industry through education, mentoring, community service and business networking. As you navigate through our website, please view our mission, committees, activities and programs. I look forward to your support & participation in AABE as we strive to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues that impact our communities and our nation.
