Black Energy Awareness Month (BEAM) - Celebrating our Innovators
This week we celebrate the innovators whose inventions have had a significant impact on society. Dot Harris is an "engineer-entrepreneur" and a friend of AABE. She was appointed by President Obama to the role of Director of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Economic and Diversity, where she is committed to ensuring that underserved communities have a chance to participate in energy programs.
AABE Atlanta is proud that Ms. Harris served as our keynote speaker during Women's History Month earlier this year.

October is Black Energy Awareness Month (BEAM), a chance to spotlight the role of energy in scholarship, innovation, our community, and professional development.
This week we focus on community by sharing energy saving tips you can use as the seasons change.
