Professional Development L&L, "How to Survive an Unplanned Job Transition," featuring Ms. Adrienne Whitaker

The AABE Virginia Chapter Lunch and Learn on “How to Survive an Unplanned Job Transition” by guest speaker Ms. Adrienne Whitaker, Vice President of Philanthropy & Marketing for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls was at Dominion’s One James River Plaza auditorium on March 15, 2017, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Crystal Johnson, Chairperson – Committee opened the meeting by welcoming attendees to the members only event and Rebecca Brayboy introduced our eloquent speaker.  Ms. Whitaker shared her knowledge and life experiences on career and life transitions.  Her motivating dialogue enlightened attendees on:

·         Ask the right questions

·         Know what you want to do next

·         Mentor/Network and nurture your relationships

·         Have more than one source of income

·         Be current with your information

Members also asked questions, followed by closing remarks by Drexel Harris and presentation to Ms. Whitaker.
