Sherman E. Tate
As one of the very first African American Utility Industry Executives in the country, Sherman E. Tate has experienced, achieved and contributed greatly from that day in 1980, when he was hired by Arkla Gas as personnel director for the Arkansas Division. He was promoted to vice president after only two years. He then was promoted to vice president of marketing and then to vice president of distribution operations for the Arkansas Division.
A recent (2017) inductee to the Sam M. Walton College of Business Hall of Fame, https://walton.uark.edu/abhf/ Mr. Tate has continued a career of excellence and success in numerous areas of civic and business endeavors of which he will share “tidbits” of wisdom at our next AABE Industry Speaker Series Luncheon!
