Nearly two months ago, Coelho volunteered to run the race and act as the PSEG representative on the hospital’s fund-raising team. Coelho spent six to eight weeks training for the 13.1 mile race with support from Pro-Activity trainers and coaches.
The money raised will benefit Children's Specialized Hospital, a charity partner of this year’s marathon and the largest provider of pediatric rehabilitation services in the nation. Children's Specialized Hospital serves children affected by traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and dysfunction, complications from premature birth, autism, developmental delays, mental health issues, and other life-changing injuries or illnesses.
Congratulations to Coelho and a special thanks to all those who supported his involvement in the race!
