Welcome to the AABE Connecticut Chapter Website
Dear Members and Guests: On behalf of the Officers for the Connecticut Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), I would like to welcome you to our new website. The Connecticut Chapter is one of three chapters in the Northeast Region of the organization and is headquarted in Hartford, CT. Our member companies include (but not limited to) Connecticut Light & Power, First Energy, Calvin Morgan & Associates, Northeast Utilities, Yankee Gas Company, Western Massachusetts Electric Company, United Illuminating Company, United Technologies Corp., and the YMCA. The AABE Northeast Regional Coordinator is also a member of our chapter. In 2001, the Connecticut Chapter was proud to host the 24th AABE National Conference. Our chapter recently was honored with an Outstanding Chapter of the Year Award at the 30th Annual AABE National Conference in DC during the month of April, 2007 for co-hosting the national event. During this year, our Connecticut Chapter will be holding seminars focusing on personal development and energy related issues. One of our goals is to bring awareness to energy issues that may affect the minority community. Another goal is to increase our membership to include other energy providers such as Oil, Natural Gas, Electricity, Nuclear, Government, Renewables, Telecom, Energy Services and Water. This will give our membership a broader knowledge about the energy industry when topics arise. We also intend to support and shape the minds of young students and new professionals to be good corporate citizens within the energy industry. As you navigate through our website, please view our Mission, Chapter History, Officers & Directors, and Chapter Committees including: Communications, Scholarship, Fundraising, and Membership. Our Chapter News and Events schedule is also provided. These goals are designed to incorporate activities sponsored by the National Office of AABE. I welcome you to view our website and become active with the Connecticut Chapter of AABE. Thanks in advance for your participation. Sincerely, Lorenzo Marshall President Connecticut Chapter American Association of Blacks in Energy ENTER THE CONNECTICUT WEBSITE UPCOMING EVENTS: AABE Connecticut Chapter General Meeting Schedule AABE CT Chapter Scholarship Golf Tournament - June 7 View AABE Connecticut Chapter Newsletters Download AABE Scholarship Application printer friendly page | 1200 reads
